Grace Fellowship Church Photo by: Goodlandnet LLC -------------------- On September 8, 1991, five families met together in a farm home for Bible study and prayer. It was the desire of these families to have a time to encourage one another through Gods Word, prayer and fellowship. By November, five more families had joined the group. With the additional families, space became a problem, so it was decided to begin meeting in the National Guard Armory building. On December 1, 1991 the families voted to become Grace Fellowship Church. For the first five years, from 1991-1996, laymen from the group and ministers from the community and surrounding area ministered to the congregation. In the spring of 1993, the present building, located on Highway 24 was purchased and remodeled. The first service in the building was held on October 3, 1993. In August of 1996, the congregation invited a representative of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Rev. Doug Grogan, to speak to them about the denomination. After meeting with Rev. Grogan, the congregation voted to affiliate with Christian and Missionary Alliance. The Christian and Missionary Alliance is a small, evangelical denomination that emphasizes evangelism and world-wide missions. From August, 1996 through July, 1997 ministers from the Christian and Missionary Alliance ministered to the congregation on Sundays. On July 13, 1997, Rev. Steven Kellett spoke to the congregation. Following this service, the congregation called Rev. Kellett to be the fulltime pastor. Pastor Kellett moved to Goodland in August, 1997 and was officially installed on September 14, 1997.
