The Old School House - Stop by this one room school house (District 51) located just north of the High Plains Museum. The School House was originally built in the northwest part of the county as a sod school house and then upgraded to a frame house. Finally a basement was added on to house the lunchroom.
Kansas Room in the Goodland Public Library - The Kansas room houses all Sherman County’s newspapers on microfilm beginning in 1886 through the present. As well as a large collection of books on Kansas. The microfilm is available for any member to use during library hours.
Genealogical Services - If you’re interested in old papers or information on Sherman County Family History, contact the society by written request; identify your name, name or subject you are looking for, which dates you would like researched and a research fee. There will be a .25 cent charge for each copy made.
