couple.jpg (206904 bytes)"New Bride, New Blanket"

He is older, his eyes have seen much.  His wife of many years has gone on, but the coming days will not be lonely.

She is a widow, past her youthful bloom, a good woman who is proud to share their remaining years.

He has gifted her with a robe to match his own in celebration of their recent marriage, and they walk in gentle companionship to join friends and family.

The older Navajo couple are ceramic, finished with molded and stiffened cloth.   The bases are felted.  The expressions, especially the eyes, convey the feelings in the 'story card' that is a companion piece to the work.  The Artist is especially adept at bringing the eyes alive with her brushwork.  The pair are 22 and 20 inches tall, and have been well received in galleries and at Art Shows.

Colors happily chosen to match home decor.  Three to six weeks production and delivery time.  Shipped via Federal Express.

"Old Stories, New Love"couple5.jpg (187780 bytes)

"He is a Navajo Storyteller.  The Navajo had no written language, therefore, he is responsible for the oral history of his people since their creation.

She is considered a great beauty among her people, and is famous for the pottery she designs and produces.

The Pueblo is planning a grand celebration to honor this beloved couple when they are married in the near future."

This is the largest work produced by Wind Woman Originals.  The male figure is 14 inches by 10 inches; the female figure is 13 by 10 inches at the base.  These are sold by the pair.  Finished in draped and stiffened cloth, the bases are felted.   Colors are chosen by the Artist, or may be customized to blend with home decor.   the Indian silver jewelry is enhanced by a special process and tiny bits of 'Turquoise' to lend authenticity.  This pair is particularly charming on the hearth, as the reflection of the flames from the open fire lends the atmosphere of a campfire surrounded by listeners to his tales of the Navajo.

(The Singers)

These charming Pueblo children are singing songs learned at the Mission school near their village.  They are so transported by the words and music, their eyes singers3.jpg (196757 bytes)are closed to the beauty of the desert night.

The tallest figure is 8 inches including the base of flagstone or wood.  Solo, Duet or Trio are available, or a chorus if desired.  All pieces are hand built and finished with stiffened cloth.  Silk 'desert plants' and tiny 'cedar' trees add to the mystique of the Desert Southwest.  These pieces are eye-catching in the music room; several now sit atop a piano in private homes and 'sing along' with the musician.   Story card included.
